Title: 1990 Golf Gti Rev Counter
Post by: Malky on 21 January 2004, 13:31
Coincedence???

The fan belt snapped on my car and as a result the battery died.

Once I got the new belt fitted and the battery charged up again, the rev counter no longer worked.  Also the MFA trip computer has stopped working.  It is stuck saying 42:48 and I cannot seem to reset it.

Can anyone give me any assistance on the Rev Counter or the MFA indicator?

You could take the fuse out then put it back in to reset it?

if you take out the fuse be sure to leave it out for atleast 10 mins as sometimes these units have short memories.. i think  ???
