Title: Badly fitting eyelids
Post by: MikeyB82 on 16 January 2007, 22:52
I bought some eyelids for my MKIII from VolksBits, and they dont fit.
It looks like they just aint made for the Golf, not quite long enough, and have a lip along the top that stops it sitting flush.

Have I somehow been given the wrong kind of  eyelids, or has anyone else had this same problem?

my mate has has the same probs with hers for a suberu.  my fellas got has got eyelids tho and they kept falling off no matter what we did (superglue ect) also the bonnet doesnt shut very easily, you have to give it a fair slam (so much i popped a bulb lol) anyway we found the best adhesive to use is silicon

Had a bunch of s**t like this with bits from places.

Basically, if it doesnt fit I send it back. Cant be bothered to toss around, if its made for the car it should fit no problem.
