I'm thinking about selling my 1990(G) Golf GTi and was hoping some of you could give me what you think is a fair asking price. I was thinking ?1000.
8v Big Bumper model, 5Dr, Metallic Green, 84k, Totally Original, no modifications, It doesn't have a service history however there are some receipts available.
MOT'd until Nov 04, taxed end Feb 04. Its a great runner. The bodywork is clean and solid, a few rust spots on the drivers door but only surface so easily repaired. Just had it serviced last night.
What do you think is a fair asking price?

cheap as chips mate. ;D. you should get that for it . i paid over ?2000 for a 1990 a few years ago about the same milage as well.

without service there isnt much value. but then again ?1000 aint that bad.
put it up for ?1200 so the buyer nocks off ?200 to leave u with 1000?

I do see your point about the history however, anyone can fake a service history these days. The car runs sweet as a nut so thats what I go on.
?1200 sounds a good idea
Cheers
