Well, I got my JOM grill, took off my old one and was just wondering, How do I take out the inner inner lights and is that all I will have to do? Will the outer lights be enough light...
Help appreciated!

You can just unplug the inner lights as there only spot lights and while they do give a lot more light you dont have to have them for the MOT

aye, because the outer lights are H4 and still function as main beams.

You might want to upgrade to 100/80w bulbs and a loom too.... Just so happens I found my old loom in my dad's garage at the weekend - you can have it for £15 inc post if you want.....
If not I'll put it on the bay at the weekend....

Forgive my ignorance...but I always wondered why the attraction with reducing from extra driving lights to regular items only and the plain non-gti grille? I spent years always speccing my cars up to have mega lights, for all the night driving I did!

watch out for higher wattage bulbs, they can melt the glue holding the glass on the lamps! Uprated loom and std wattage decent quality bulbs should be plenty, Phillips visionplus or osram silver star are good ones :)

I'll agree with that. I'm currently running an uprated loom with a 30amp relay, and 130/90w bulbs. It hasn't melted the glue, but it's put a nice big crack (from one side of the lens to the other) in the glass on one side... That said, it's made a hell of a difference and people driving towards me don't seem to mind.
Those I'm following do, however. Hey, that's what dipped rear view mirrors were made for, right?
