Title: mk4 airbag

hi will a 3 spoke airbag and wheel fit with no problems onto a  a car which has the 4 spoke wheel on, will all i need is the wheel and the airbag and the wire from the wheel connecting to the airbag thanks?

I am not certain on this but seem to remember a recent post either on here or uk-mkivs about the wiring being different - might be worth a search.

Hi,

As long as the airbag and steering wheel are from the same car and that your original wheel has not the radio controls on it, then yes it will fit.

Just disconnect battery earth.
remove old air bag, carefully disconnecting plug on back.
undo steering wheel centre bolt (12mm spline) and disconnect steering wheel loom from slip ring.
remove old wheel.

Fit new steering wheel connect to slip ring, connect airbag and clip into place.
LAST JOB - reconnect battery.
