Title: quick stupid coilover question
Post by: sc on 15 January 2007, 17:13
i have purchased some very cheap coilies for my mk2 not expecting great things but they gonna be better than the f**ked shocks the question is i assume i take off the top nut use some spring compressors and fit the slotted nut off my standard shocks to hold the top mount in place the fit up as normal shocks and springs.

the ones my mate bought replaced all the std mk2 bits, apart from the top mounts, no need to dismantle the old struts at all!

May be worth replacing the top mounts for the more sturdy g6o versions while your at it. i bought a pair on ...joes  advice for about £28 delivered! Bargain i think? (you'll need to ask joe where from though as i can't remember where from!)

the coilies i have only have one nut on the top of them so are you saying take that off put top mount on and the metal holder thing then bolt all back together?
