Title: MK2 wiring
Post by: Andyfitz on 14 January 2007, 16:39
Hi all,

Am I right in assuming that if the hazard switch is located on the top of the steering colum the car has 90 spec wiring? as my GTI is a G plate, 89 on the logbook it's a chageover model, it has some 89 parts and some 90 parts (always fun at GSF!) but it has the colum mounted switch so I am hoping it is a 90 spec loom?

yea thats what I thought. I guess if no one knows I can pull it to bits and find out ;)

just makes fitting a MK3 dash much easyer if it's 90 spec, no cuting and soildering plugs on

(well in the UK anyway, in the US it can be in either place pre or post 90!!)
