Title: Kerbed Monza II's - Help
Post by: mrv on 13 January 2007, 17:36
I've just gone and kerbed one of my precious Monza II's and am gutted. Does anyone know a company that can repair them well in the south east london or kent area?? I understand that they are notoriously difficult to repair well.

If you are talking about the 17" version, which are easy to repair - I used Chipsaway (west london), about £70 per wheel, they come to you, and it takes about an hour and half.

if you run a search on the Mk5 forum, there was a posting before christmas about a company that do 18" monza repairs, the tricky ones, where you send the wheel to them and they get them looking like new.

hope that helps.

If it is the 18 inchers, to get a perfect finish you may need to used a specialist re-finish.

Good things have been said about split and polish. http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/

I have also heard good things of spit and polish. Doc kindly posted a magazine review of their service elsewhere which was very favorable and was based on an 18" Monza 2.
