I've just got myself a problem with the electrics in the drivers door, the other day I put my window down and it wouldn't go back up. After a bit of tinkering with the switch etc. - it went back up.
Today it won't even go down, and the passenger window will go down, but not up, from the driver's switch (the switch on the passenger door works fine though). There is still power to the LEDs in the switch. Another thing which may well be related is the feature where all the windows go up and down when you hold the key in the lock doesn't work from the driver's side but still works fine from the passenger side (although the driver's window doesn't go up or down).
I figure this is something to do with the wiring in the driver's door. Has anyone got any ideas as to where or what exactly the problem might be?

any ideas anyone?
I've just taken the door apart and there doesn't seem to be any damage to the wiring loom...

Sounds like the motor is fine, but the regulator (lifter) is stuffed.
Might need to replace it m8, try a wrecker? or buy a new one?
3dr and 5dr mk3 front regulator is the same part.
