Title: Removing paint overspray
Post by: peacher on 10 January 2007, 22:56
Owner before me decided to paint the fading trim on my Mk2 Golf Gti whilst it was still on the car (with no masking by the looks of it). As a result I have bits of overspray all around the car (front wing, either side if the door trims, bottom of the doors etc etc). I have decided to remove this over the next few days but the paint thinners I bought from my local motor factors doesn't seem to be up to the job?

Anyone know what I should be using to remove it (hopefully without too much elbow grease)?

Cheers,

Peter

A very fine rubbing compound is what you need mate, but this does take a layer of paint off though, especially if your rubbing too hard.
