Can someone show the differnt in the front quaterligth face-lift to an older one? thx
Where all 1988 face-lifted or only late ones, and also possible to have big bumpers? or was this only possible on the 1990 ones ?
thx

pre 88 had a quarter light, with the mirror half way down the door. Post 88 has a single piece of glass, and the mirror is at the front of the door.
Big bumpers were fitted after 1990 and the electric system was changed. If you plan to get a MK2 for a project and plan to fit a bigger engine, a post 90 is your best bet as MK3 engine looms plug straight in :)
Edit: Here is a 90 spec MK2:

Mine are the RH Borbet C copies. Came with the car and I quite like them. once I've don this years track season I'll be stripping them down and refurbing them in either black or graphite colour (the RH's are my track wheels).
