How can we get one of the golf ball gearknobs like the ones fitted to the ED30. Think it would be a nice addition to any GTI. Have not tried asking my dealer because unless you give them part numbers its vague looks all round no matter what you ask for. My car is manual. Anyone know if the existing gear knob comes off easily, I replaced one on a previous job and it was a nightmare job to get the old one off as it was glued and also forced on.

Not cheap though and no idea how to fit them.

Did not think they would be as expensive as that. The manual one which is the cheaper one looks a bit rubbish, the print for the gear markings looks a bit cheap and nasty.

I know what you mean but he only sells VW parts???
-
Is the manual nob not for a MK4?? Looks like the one fitted to the 25th Ann. without the red lettering.
-
Its not the Edition 30 version as the sides are not the same.

ed 30 ones look sweet!

Yep agree the ED30 ones do look the business and are what VW should have fitted from the start. Those Ebay ones look cheap and nasty but certainly are not cheap.

The manual gearknob on ebay is the type fitted to GTI's in the US. I think.
