Hello.
I have just fitted a K&N induction kit to my motor, but I am not happy with the way they have said to secure it, it's dancing around Jacko!
Any ideas how to secure better.
Cheers

i had to pop out to the car to get a tape... so took these, they are only camera fone pics, but u get the idea.
it was just some gash metal i found in the shed, kinda like the mechano stuff u used to get as a kid... measured, bent at 90 degrees with a vice and hammer.... 2 holes drilled, jobs a good 'un, filter doesnt actually move at all!!!

I will knock something up at the weekend.

no worries mate....
glad to be of assistance :nerd:
-
is it a new iduction kit youve got or a second hand one cos i bought a new one a couple of months ago and it came with a mounting bracket in the box
-
mine was on the car when i bought it... but it didnt have a bracket either.
-
Yeah brand new came with bracket but not happy with it also seems to close to alternator and not that secure. I have attached to the cover of one of the belts as not long enough to reach anywhere else, but will knock one up like mase did at the weekend
I have not fitted the cold air pipe yet as that seems to be to close to alternator too.
Cheers chaps.

it fits to the suspension turret and hold it secure in place

If you could that would be great.
Cheers

there not very clear mate cos it dark and the torch goin dead
you can sort of make it out
the bracket bolts to the bottom bolt closest to the wing on the adaptor plate in pic one just under the sensor
the bracket bolts onto the top bolt on the turret just above the light in pic 2

put the bracket on the air filter end first then put it all on the car and bolt it to the turret last
thats the easiest way
hope this helps. if not let me no and i will get some better pics in the day mate
