15 inch are regarded as being the best in terms of handing and quite possibly looks too for a mark 2.
width wise, any larger than 7 inch wil require arch work to accomodate them/

Tyre wise, 195 50 15's pirellis is what I have on my BBS RA's at the moment and 195 45 15 toyo proxes on my G60 steels.

toyo proxes t1rs last a bit longer than the t1s, and apparently have more grip too :)

According to this -  http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html      the best size for a 15 inch rim is 195/50 R15 and the best tryes I've ever used are Goodyear Eagle F1's

Those wheels were lovely, shame they arne't a fit.

I've got 195/50/15s on my car with Yoko A539 I think thats the right numbers!

I wasn't too sure about them at first, but as they were all the place had in and my tyres were barely legal I didn't have much choice.

But what can I say, I've so far found them to be excellent!

And they weren't expensive at all
