Title: Had the VR6 dyno tested...
Post by: R32_T on 06 January 2007, 18:13
Had the old beauty rolling road tested today afternoon at www.streetracersgd.co.uk in Leicester, very good friendly people, highly recomended for all your tuning needs.

Result.............179 BHP  (Will post up a copy of the printout later, when she gets back with the camera!!!..AHHHHH)

Only mods done are Pipercross induction kit and a powerflow exhaust (which has cracked a little at the join from the cat, is blowing quite a bit, couldnt get it done in time)

How much BHP does a standered VR6 push out? :undecided: (97'P Highline)

Only had it about 4 months, keeps a smile on my face everytime i put my foot down

Hello
How much did it cost for the rolling road test?
Do they tune while you are there at all, or is it just the test?
Cheers

I just bought my 97 VR6 with < 100K miles on it and FULL VW service history with only very minor things wrong with it (chain tensioner has been done) for little over 2K. Insurance on it is in the wife's name (she's 24) and it's < 400 f/c p/a

So R32 what did they do on the tune up mate or did they just put it on the rollers to check your bhp. I really want to get my vr tuned up just to check every thing is good. But i dont want to waste my cash if there is nothing they can do in the way of a tune up. When i say tune up i mean it in the old school way i.e turn a nut hear tweak a bolt there or should the ecu be taking care of that.....

Hi there, it cost £40 for the run. They can tune while you are there as well, just give them a call to find out more info, www.streetracersgd.co.uk

They can go for anywhere between £2000 - £4000, but 4 grand should buy you a minter, wouldnt pay that much myself for a Mk3 but some people do.

They didnt do anything on the tune up side of things because i didnt want to get anything done, my cars running sweet as. They just put it straight on the rollers and away it went. I wasnt planning on getting it tested, I was there yesterday as he's re-building my mates Supra and i just wanted to know how much it was running cos its fookin quick!!!!

The ECU takes care of everything!!
