Title: Service in --- Miles or --- Days
Post by: Paul-GTI on 05 January 2007, 17:52
Hi,

Just had my GTI serviced on longlife, when i check the next service menu it says "Service in --- Miles or --- Days"

I have only done 50 miles since it was services, so will it kick in with a few more miles, or do I have to go and kick the dealer???

I would it's still calculating. But it's just a guess. Would of thought you could save a trip with a quick call.

That was the same with my GTi when I got it serviced.  It was on the time/ distance but got it changed to the longlife.

Don't know how long or how many miles it was but when checked again it read 'Service in 12400 Miles or 364 days' I think!.

So I am a bit confused with mine after it's first longlife service. It was done at 20k miles amd now 2500 miles and 78 days later the computer says the next service is in 8k miles and 294 days.....but the stealer says its definately on longlife schedule.....this cant be correct...the figures look like time/distance ??....dont see why I'd get 20K miles the first time and then 10k miles the next, as it's getting driven the same way..

anyone else remember how the schedule looked after their first longlife service ?
