Is that for an 8v or 16v mate?

I'd stick with a Gti cam on an otherwise std Driver. To get the benefit from anything more radical you're looking at some head work, carb rejetting - if you can rejet a Pierburg - better exhaust etc etc. Added to which, like the man says, an 8V Gti cam is a £10.
Barkstar :nerd:

the 8v gti cam is a very cheap and effective mod for a driver, well worth doing :afro:

straight out my 8v

i had a 1.6 driver with weber carb and GTi 8v cam and it worked for a while untill it kinda blew up, but yeah it makes a big difference when its all nice and working.

Agreed, the 8v gti cam on a 1.6 Driver is pretty popular, and they're cheap as chips! Obviously a driver's only got one cam so a 16v cam is useless...

I will be doing this exact same thing to my scirocco when i eventually get round to putting an engine back in it
