Title: What wheels are these?

I am looking at some Borbet A s and wondered if anyone has them or a photo on a mk 2? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. Don't understand this though. Are these wheels unpopular - is it sacrilege not to go for the BBS look?

Myself I love the BBS splits, but they aren't every ones cup of tea.

My mk2 is lowered 40mm but is otherwise standard (pic in my sig is obsolete). I was wondering what is the widest 16" and 15" wheel I can fit without having to roll the arches. Would a 7.5" wheel be a problem? Thanks again.

Post by: Lewy on 05 January 2007, 23:45: They were my old BBS RM's, they cost me Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£360 in standard form, but then I had the centres powdercoated grey and added the 2" outers, so all in all they cost me about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£800. But I've now got a different set of splits which will cost just a teeny bit more.

Scour the classifieds on Edition38, as split's come up all the time.

OK cool. Is there extra space at the rear or does that apply to both axles?

Are you still ok at 7" if you fit a 16" wheel as opposed to 15"?

Post by: mase on 08 January 2007, 06:59: my dub knowledge is faily limited... but the theory is all the same so here goes.

7x16's on a mk2 shouldnt be too much of a problem, it depends mainly on the offset of the wheels... if u could get it so that the outside edge of the wheel sits just inside the arch, then even with an extreme lowering job u shouldnt scrub.

IM(rather limited)O 7x16's on about a 35-38 offset with 195/40/16 tyres shouldnt cause you much worries.
