Title: Were is it??

Just brought a mk4 vw golf 1.6 16v SE and on the head unit it says multi cd changer.. well i pressed the buttons 1,2,3 etc and it just says no disc..so i assume theres a multichanger in the car somewere..? im yet to find it though..

can anyone tell me were it is?? lol

I had the same problem when I bought my old 4-Motion!
I'm pretty sure there was a little black plastic thing that you twisted on the left hand side of the boot carpet pillar that revealed the changer......

Post by: tobz. on 04 January 2007, 09:29: Do they all have changers as standard then??? My g/f has just bought a 2000 1.6 SE it has the headunit and a single slot cd in the dash. There is a button on the cd player to select a changer but I wasn't expecting there to actually be one fitted.

This is the same as our 2.0 golf. I expect that some of these units let you insert more than one disc (seen this on Volvo CD players) but our one only takes one at a time.

Post by: 152GTI on 04 January 2007, 19:19: Yeah it was an option and not fitted as standard. You can pick them up fairly cheap and simply connects straight into the back of your radio. :wink:

Post by: 152GTI on 04 January 2007, 23:08: Well I got the boot mounted multi changer as well as the cd player that sits in the dash for Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£70, but my mate who sold them to me said he could have got Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£70 for each of em on Ebay so I guess thats what your lookin at :wink:

there will be loads more qquestions to come becuase i brought the car as written off and im repairing it! at the moment i cant open boot and i can only just about get the bonnet open! lol
