Hey all I'm embarking on my first Mk2 project , Ive got some bits and pieces floating about and wanted some ideas . I already have a few but wanted to see if anything else interesting came out of the post .
The parts in question are :-
1.8 8v (in the car head gasket gone)115K
Mk4 2.0l 8v X-flow (complete But no gearbox) 38k
Mk3 2.0l AGG (just engine no ancillaries) 74k
I also Have gsxr1000 itbs
so there it is in a nut shell... feel free to reply

i think it will boil down to a few things.
1.time
2.money
3.patience
4.how quick do you want the car to be driveable?
-
i know the quick option 2l AGG 1.8 head with work driving a few weeks tops time though is not an ish the cash flow might be.
long and short I'm open to suggestions.
-
well if its only the headgasket , id just stick another on there , the engines still got a long life ahead of it imo. not a hard job either. might be worth skimming head too. either that or sell the two engines you have and obtian a 1.8t lump :p (AGU) and dump that in there :D
-
Not quite what i had in mind and as nice as it sounds 1.8t AGU theres a donor car sat on my drive  Ive had my fun with that, thats been done to death now
come on someone has to have some good ideas ........
OK heres 1 :-
2.0 AGG running 1.9 diesel crank increase 2.1 with P&P X-flow head and a cam maybe a 272 or something like that with gsxr1000 ITBs on megasquirt or another engine management of sorts.
NEXT 2:-

2. 2.0 16v ABF with flowed head & cams, fit your throttle boddies & run it with megasquirt managment. Will go like hell, and I recon affordable if you sell those other 2 engines you have ;)

You should turbocharge it and use G60 management! I just happen to have a G60 ECU for sale if you need one
