I've got a seven year old and personally I wouldn't put him in the back with the lap seatbelts, he always goes in the front. If you stop and they fly forward it will be dangerous as there's no support around the chest and shoulder and it's going to hurt them across the stomach area. As for changing the setup, I don't think you can as there's no anchor point for a seatbelt over the shoulder in a cab, I guess that's why they are lap belts in the first place.

The late MK1 cabbys had 3 point inertia belts as an option, but good luck finding them. You need to have a bracket welded just behind the rear seat, and it needs to be done by a pro, as you can imagine it needs to hold up well in an accident.

ooh, never knew they actually did them. I've never seen a mk1 cab with a three point belt yet, so yup, good luck finding one of them.

Just had a look on ETKA/ETOS and the section pictured is not there.  With ETOS I can look up the part numbers and find the prices though, so it looks like this was only available in the states!

If you ask your dealer very nicely he might be able to get the parts in, but it'll cost you
