Title: rear spoiler / washer jet.

now ive just bought a '97 gti 8v and have a little question.

ive seen various gti's of similar age with either a black or body coloured spolier... but mine doesnt have 1, it has 3 black screws in the rear screen which im guessing are to screw in a spoiler... can i just get the standard spoilers from VW themselves? or is there a better place?

also... rear washers... mine again, is without one!! the motor is there 'cause you can here it running when u push the stalk forward, but there isnt even a jet on the tailgate anywhere, were they incorporated into the spoilers? or could it of been smoothed off and had the tailgate re-painted?

I think the rear washer jet is in the rear wiper arm  :smiley:

Yes mate the washer is built into the wiper arm. Has it had a wiper from a differant vw put on it. I know you can put like later polo rear wipers on the mk2 but i dont know about the mk3....

With the rear spoiler try ebay and make sure you get a gti or vr6 one as these bolt through the glass while driver spec one's glue on!!!! and the washer jet is located near to where the wiper arm bolt's on and has a little cover to make it tidy
