Title: the wait is finally over!!!

MUHAHAHAHA.

well, thats it... after 4 months of searching, the wait is finally up, sitting outside my house is a 1997 P reg mystic blue mk3 8v GTI with 85k on the clock!!!  :cool:

dont think ive stopped grinning yet... granted its taken about a month to sort out, and meant a 400 mile round trip to collect it, but i finally own the car ive wanted since the age of 16  :embarassed:  :grin:

it was all shiny and clean yesterday when i collected it from manchester, but after a 4 hour mission back to aldershot, (its by guildford for those of you who dont know, for those who do... dont laugh!) she is filthy again, but im still in love.  :kiss:

only down side for you lot now is.... your stuck with me! just thought id share my delight with you :laugh:

blimey that was a bit of a treck! glad it was worth it though!

i once made the trip to and from Preston Lancs to Braintree in Essex to collect a drunken ebay purchase (my first valver)

Glad your happy......Just don't let any 16v owner's spoil it as they will all say the 16v is faster and the better car !!!!!
I had a 300mile round trip buying mine....as most round yorkshire seem to be dire!!!

i did actually want a 16v, well in total honesty i wanted the 1.8 20vt, but could only afford the insurance on a 8v, bein 22 with no NCB defo isnt a good thing when it comes to insuring a dub!

shes more than enough for now.. much better than the pokey 1.2 i was driving  :grin:
