Title: G60 front brakes.
Post by: Helios_Blue_Valver on 17 January 2004, 22:27
I have 256mm front brakes on my car now but am thinking about upgrading to 280 mm G60 front brakes. What all do i need for the swap other than the Calipers and Disks? Do i need the caliper carriers as well or do the 256mm's fit them. I know I need new front splash gaurds. Are the G60 Calipers 4 pot?

the G60 callipers I've got aren't 4 pot. Same as old ones, just bigger.

when I was researching this I was told I'd need:
280mm discs
calipers
16v carriers
22.2mm master cylinder else I'd have my foot on the floot before I started to slow down.

You can use the 16V 256mm cariers, you just must modify the sliders as the discs for the G60 are different width from the 16v ones! G60 carriers would b best though!
