Title: Snap-off steering wheels
Post by: Luke on 17 January 2004, 20:50
Alright people?
Got a question, anyone ever had or had experience with one of those snap off steering wheel kits, Ive heard theyre round about ?100 for the boss.
Been thinking about getting one cos of all the little thiefs around my way, but not sure where or how to go about getting one, and if its worth it.
Any feedback?

well worth it. You can pick a snap off for about ?70. Ill let you know who sells them that cheap.

Must be one of the best vehicle security devices

Just need a handy clip so you can hang your steering wheel off your keyring ;)  But seriously, where can you get em for ?70 and do they do ones that are compatible with Momo steering wheels?

You have to have an aftermarket wheel for a snap-off. So it should fit on your momo steering wheel. :)

I think it was in a DemonTweeks magazine for ?70, not sure but have a look..

I'm sure the mounting holes for the wheel to the boss are standardised so you shouldn't have a problem. I have been thinking about the snap off boss too and the only thing I have heard about them is that it sits further out than standard.

Look on ebay for steering wheels. They was a sweet BBS wheel I was after but I got outbid. loads of momo's on there last time I looked.
