Hi,
My ABS warning light is on and I have bought a code reader from Halfords to try and find the problem. But, I'm not sure where the diagnostic plug is. I have found a plug to the right of the ashtray in the fascia below the heater controls, but it looks nothing like the picture of the one in the code reader manual. Because of this the instructions make no sense. Has anyone done this before? I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks alot
Kris

The socket is to the left of the ashtray, not the right. I am assuming it is possible to read ABS faults using a code reader?????
Please can someone help me out.
Thanks

That is the OBD port, i think the Halfords fault readers only do the early ports, before 94/95.

Ah...that would explain why it doesn't fit.
Thanks

Just been looking at vag com. I have downloaded the software, but need to find a connector for my PC (USB). The socket in my car is OBDII.
Thanks for your help
