i was after getting my vr lump chromed at cleveland chroming near me
and they said they dont do it as it would flake off i would need to gold plate it first
and might start getting pricey so that idea was out the window.
he said about polishing it
so how do i go about polishing the top so it looks nie and shiney
and can i do it myself
i put the vr back in the garage till summer so would be good to do over winter
get little bits sorted while its in there
cheers

hammerite, great company do any colours you want lots of my friends use it for break calipers, better and lasts longer than the proper stuff, calipers get pretty hot and im pretty sure hammerite is heat resistant anyway, worth checking out, im sure i have seen it done at least on a rocker cover anyway if thats all you wanted done you cant go far wrong id say

what about the chrome look thats what i want

well hey if you want to do it cheap?! black or silver will be a cheap way just to tidy it up, short of that go ahead and gold plate your block if you want! brasso may have some effect thinking about it or auto glym (halfords) metal alloy polish works great for wheels so RC cant be much different for rocker cover anyway but getting round the awkward bits like bolt holes and edges may be a bit of a pain, it would need taking off whatever happens.
