Title: Golf, 1.6s MPG?? Some one please help cant be right

Hi ppl, i got a 1998 golf 1.6s, i know aint the best golf out the mk4z but im only young

im getting around 210miles on a full tank around £42

is that right???

my air mass meter needs changing aswel, but would that make a diff

nope, you should be getting somewhere near the 300 mark :shocked:

thats what i 4t, but i dont know why its doing that, aint the air mass cause i had it changed no diff

I had a V Reg 1.6s (8V) and 350 to A Tank was about average.... and that was with a very heavy foot, i think the mk4 was always a bit heavy with that engine,

Sounds like overfueling, get it on the VAG COM

my cars fixed and im still geting poor millage for my money, got only 48.2 miles for 10pound yesterday thats under 25 mpg! whats going on !
