Title: need info on bora 2.0

hello chaps.,

my dads just brought a bora 2.0 8v  99 v reg,  and he says the mpg is bad,  it's doing on avarage 25 mpg?  is this about right. or is there a problem?

Same engine as the 2.0 gti golf mk4.  non turbo

more than likely maf or temp sensor prob for that kinda mpg... there not the most economic but ask this question in the golf mk4 section and you ll get a more detailed answer

yeah the 2.0 isn't very good on fuel,  the other engines in the bora are better, i think it maybe the fact the 2.0 is a little under powered for the weight of the car!  :smiley:
