Title: Painting over Poweder Coat
Post by: Fielder on 13 December 2006, 09:17
Quick paint question. I should be getting a rollcage from Dubchick early - mid Januarty. Its already powercoated a dark grey / carbon colour. Im thinking of painting it white to match the wheels but im reluctant to pay for it to be powder coated. Bearing in mind its a Flexing part of the car when fitted could i get away with a Plasticised paint ontop of the powercoat or will it still flake?

Cheers Dudes - Fielder

Powder Coating is a process where a substance is bonded to the metal. sorry I dont know the exact materials used.
But anyway you should be able to use any normal spray paint straight onto it.
