not sure mate? im looking for some at the mo cause i want mine lower but its gona have to be adjustables + i want smaller wheels (going for the euro look now) ;D
-
koni dampers
eibach springs
-
Spot on thats the best combo :)
-
Unless you spend that little bit more and buy FK Konigsports, thats what I have just bought! ;D
-
I got a SPAX PSX kit on my golf - only damper adjustable but suits my needs ... can't fault the kit and you know as it's a complete kit the springs are well matched to the dampers, helps guard against a harsh ride you'll often get with 'mix'n'match' suspension setups.
Try www.motorsportsworld.co.uk - got loadsa Golf stuff and the SPAX kit is dirt cheap ! only a fraction over ?300 !!
I suppose the first thing u have to ask is how much can I spend, and what do I want to get out of it .....

at the mo im running stock springs and raceland shocks on my 16v, along with Eibach ARB's
the ARB's alone make one hell of a difference, and tomorrow its going to get a set of Eibach springs fitted also ;D
-
I've got H+R....very happy no probs with it at all. :)
-
i got a full bilstien kit . only cost ?210 and the difference is mental.
-
i also bought the bilstien kit from euro car parts.
the handling is sh!t hot but it is a little rough ride
a definate thumbs up for a cheap complete kit.
-
i put some Supersport Goldline coilovers on my mk2. The handling is excellent. Only if it was a less harsher ride. not bad for a budjet coilover kit.
Has anyone seen these yet...

Ive got AVO coilovers and they do me fine, and spares are cheap!

I am also looking to do same on my 8v 5 door. am looking at gettin a Vipertech kit - you get 30% uprated shocks, choice of drop from 35mm to 80mm kits, progressive wound springs (from past exp on other cars i highly recommend - the harder you push the car on roundabouts/corners, the more they tighten things up - good fun!), and powerflex bumpstops. apparently this set up gives quite a smooth ride? if anybody else got this set up let me know if any good? its hard to get a good balance when u go :) lower - u get better handling but a very bumpy ride- even small holes in the road can feel like u hit a massive pot hole!
