Han you are one lucky sod.
I have just forked out a little over £200 for my windscreen. The same garage passed 2 mot's with a scratch on it and then on the 3rd one they decided to fail it. Had to get it done rapid as I needed the car and the mot was up so never had the chance to go looking round for a cheaper one.
-
does anyone know how much auto glass charge for a tin top screen, do they do new rubbers too?
-
Well I got a quote for a MK2, £170. This was for a green tint screen with a top tint, after a discount for a local drive-in fitment at a locla place, and another discount for being an AA member. Not bad considering the screen is 90+VAT from VW, plus another £30 for a rubber. Still can't afford it though
The front screen on a tintop is identical to a cabby, so you should be able to get it for around £60 as well :)
-
I have a spare tintfree mk1 windscreen for 20 notes if anyone wants it
