well i thought seems as the "yellowgti" is sat outside the house lonely ive decided to find her a companion to love and to hold etc etc...
picked up this baby 1.4 mk3 2door last night, needs little work for m.o.t and is taxed till march,
needs a bit of tidying up and a bit of minor bodywork, big plans for this one starting next year, alloys, tints, coilovers, bodykit, exhaust ice and a few wolfsburg things,

oh and does anybody know if the mk3 gti steering wheel from a 97-R will fit on this 93-K as the one thats on it makes it look like a truck, cheers guys

Got a lot of work ahead, and yes the wheel will fit :)

don't get me wrong as i'm not being critical ,i'm just confused.
Why are you going to spend all that money on a base model 1.4 when you've got a gti? :-\
-
right ok, i see your point, ive just come off a ban and im on a provisional, cant afford to insure the gti so im going with a 1.4 as its cheaper to insure if that makes sense? then im going do it up like a gti....
-
what are you doing with your gti then? keeping it till you can insure it?

ahh i see.
naughty boy.
I got banned when i was 18 (built up points with two stupid incedents). that was in 1990 tho' and i managed to get insured on a mk1 xr2 for £400...those were the days.
