i have just been offered a mk2 syncro with a 16v convertion. ;D its a good price,but can any one tell my how easy/hard it is to convert it to a right hand drive.any info anyone has would be greatly appreacated.also is there anything i should look out for that might cost a lot to replace.many thanks :P pc

keep it a left hooker and get german plates! 8)

yeah know what your sayin vee,but the back roads round here would make life tooooooooo intersting ;D ;D i like comfort and class know,what with a wife and 2 boys , (all right into the golf scene propa).

i dont know where you would get it converted i know it can be done i will try find out where and the post again, sounds like it will be a phat motor!

I drove a left hooker for almost 9 months with no problems mate. Bit of a b1tch overtaking but thats all. just drop back a little farther than normal and give it the gun. :)

my mate had a converted mk3. His fuse board etc etc were all converted to the other side.
I dont think its worth converting it. Too much hastle and there is more value to a left hand Golf surely? ???

not really more value to a left hand drive golf. If it is a G60, Wolfsburg, or a rallye yes but 2 cars with the same spec just different sides drive you'll usually find left hand is cheaper here. :)
