Title: Wheel sizes
Post by: Tully on 07 December 2006, 19:05
Hi guys,

As im still in the planin stage for my golf and I was wondering what is the maximum size wheels you can get on a mk4 1.6. I know 19x8 wheels will fit on an R32 but wud they fit on a normal 1.6? also if hey fit how much could i lower it before having to roll the arches etc

Cheers

they will go on, and you'll have problems with the drive shaft rubbing on the anti-roll bar before you get it low enough to worry about arch rolling. 40mm is the usual "accepted" measurement to drop before you need to start modifying anything else.
