ESP is on by default.  Pressing the button will turn it off and a light on the dash will appear.

HTH

Hi when I press the button nothing appears on the dash  is it meaning itÂ’s faulty? Will the color on the button (red) change when you press the button?
Thanks

could possibly indicate a fault.  you can find out two ways

1) hook it up to a computer with VAG COM and scan for faults.
2) find a large desserted roundabout, in nice dry conditions, and chuck the car in at speed and see if the light comes on in the instrument cluster

(disclaimer - you try no2 completely at your own risk!! I'm holding no repsonibility if you end up crashing! )
