Title: Climate Control Problems - Anyone else experienced this?
Post by: synnea on 06 December 2006, 16:26
HI all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has come across this as my dealer says its a rare one! I was driving in my motor as normal one day and noticed it was a lot warmer inside than normal based on my usual temp settings.

To cut a long story short the econ button on the Climate Control now has no effect. Even without it when I turn the air to LO the air con comes on fine. But as soon as I move it up to 16, ie next up from low she goes immediately hot. It was normally still a bit chilled up to about 17 with the air con on. HI is now not as hot as 25C.

Dealer has ordered up a new set of climate control switches for me. I really hope this sorts it as this is the second electrical fault I have had in 4 months. Cruise control switch went before. Warranty I know but the hastle of having the get the car in to the dealer everytime. My dealer has been excellent so I have no complaints there.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Had mine about 2 1/2 months now and no problems so far. Aircon works well and wife says the dual control is OK as she likes it hotter than me !
