Title: mk2 golf track day suspension

anybody know whats the best suspension  to use for track days. i used cheapy gmax springs and dampers a couple of times this year, it was a bit soft for my liking and the tyres were scraping on the arches on the harder corners!

Hi JC8v,

I use H&R suspension on my MK2 Golf but I have got it only set up for the Nurburgring, but it all depends what tracks your going on.

I have Jamex on my Mk1 and Avo's on my MK2...the Avo's seem a lot harder then the Jamex...

my mates got a set of avo coilovers that have just been reconditioned recently - only wants £250 for them if your interested. i dunno what they're like to drive on because they're fitted to a rolling shell atm.

My mate used the Spax adjustable kit on his car that i'm having, that always handled pretty good. He has just splashed out on Gaz coilovers with mega adjustable dampers, not cheap!
