Title: Golf Red colours?

I own a 1989 Golf Gti in Tornado red and i have the chance of buying a new boot lid from a 1989 1.6 Golf Driver. The Drivers boot lid is red but the seller is not sure what colour red it is. Anyone know if the golf driver only came in tornado red? I cant remember seeing any other shade of red golf drivers? But do they do them in Mars Red?

Any help would be appreciated

yeah it will be Torando Red, the only other red is Mars Red (more orangey) and came on early mk2's

is 'flame red' a later colour then? (my '96 polo was that, have seen some golfs in it too.. prob early mk3s tho..)

they do list a cherry red also but i've never seen one of them

guess the easiest way is to get the paint code of his car, and compare with yours

The chap selling the boot lid does not have the paint code as he has broken the rest of the car up. I have pictures of the boot if anyone would like to have a look follow the links and see what you think?
