Been here a couple of weeks , thought i'd say hi  :grin:
Well I am in Wolverhampton , had my Mk2 1.3 (dont laugh) for around a year and love it to pieces , plan to go GTI soon (just got 1st No - Claims )

hi all , god i feel inferior to your mk2's  :embarassed: gotta say some members here have wicked golfs , but hey everyone's got to start somewhere (least i chose to go vw  :tongue: ).

Cant wait till next year to meet some of you and check your rides (e38 is midlands correct??)

Anyone recommend places in the mids? or does it all stop for winter?

its really a 4x4 in golf clothing  :grin:
Next up for me is springs , someone said chop em as im on a v.tight budget but i heard bad things so I'm gonna get a second hand cheap set
Anyone??  :wink: :wink:
Also how low could i go with 17's? (1.3 are 20mm higher than GTI , is this correct?)

dont chop the springs, dangerous thing to do.

I reckon on 17's it would be 40mm drop, anymore and I would imagine there would be scrubbage
