anybody bought a Halfords battery recently. need a new one asap and its the easiest place to go. Which model do i need as the tw&t who had my car before me put a stupid vauxhall battery in which is knackered now.
cheers
-
Halfords should have a reference guide, I reccomend getting a heavy duty one if you have the option - especially if you run a power hood and amps

yeah, i have the power hood and an amp so i'll check for one of those heavy duty ones. cheers
they have warranties too so they can't be bad really
-
no point having a heavy duty battery if yur alternator aint powerful enough to charge it
-
cheers fellas! :D
You can't beat 2 conflicting points of view for creating total confusion ??? lol ;D
-
just remember halfords battery's are made by Lucas so dont feel ashamed you didnt buy a Bosch. :P
-
Bosch would have been cheaper from eurocarparts but i needed the battery today.
Anyway, i'm not fussed as long as it works (and i can peel the Halfords sticker off!)

Picked a battery up the other week for a friend for an rs turbo, cost approx ?50 for a standard n jumped to about ?60 for a heavy duty.Seems to hav done the job!Reference is there,no need to talk to the dimwits wot work there! ;D
