Title: car respraying

Has anyone got any idea how much a good quality re-spray for my Cab would set me back? I want to keep the colour original, but really would like to freshen up the paint work, and get rid of all the chips, scratches etc..

a lot of money as it is so labour intensive taking so much of the car apart to do it properly. i got an email ages back from some company that do respray work but also specialise in restoring cars paintwork to how they left the factory. think it was somewhere near peterboro' can dig the mail out later if you want

Ads, I have a friend who is a sprayer buy trade (that's his 9-5) and he laso preps and sprays cars for the hot rod/modified car scene in his spare time. He has a unit on an industrial estate with vented spray booth etc.

His portfolio of work speaks for itself, he does a lot of trick finish/metal flake/metallic stuff, as well as standard paint finishes (the bodywork on his Mk2 has to be seen to be believed!)

I'll speak to him tonight to get a guide price and lest you know on sunday, but obviously it will be a bit vague until he sees the car and can work out what materials and prep is required.

Ads for a good quality job your looking at over ?1500. Im also looking to get mine sprayed to perfection soon. Im looking for someone that will extend the arches ::)

He's in St Neots in Cambridgeshire.

He would have been coming this weekend, but he has family commitments.

I would trust him with any car, so much so, he's spraying my boss's CLK55 next month (after a viscous keying!) on my recommendation.
