Hi All,
What a great way to start a Tuesday morning, picking up my new metallic silver R32 from my local dealer, and joining the forum
After spending two years with a Saab Cabrio I wanted to inject a little fun into my daily driver so decided to chop in the cab and go for an R32 DSG after reading so many glowing reports on it. Have to say I am very pleased with my decision to do so.
I now have two awsome cars to choose from
Cheers

Cool car and welcome to the MK5 forum!
Photo's please ASAP!
I just loved my second, silver R32 - It was far more subtle than my DBP one and much better built!
Enjoy it fella and don't forget to try your LAUNCH CONTROL!

Cheers Doc,
Dealer was qizzed about launch control but I was told that if I used it more than twice I would invalidate my warranty with VW... Seems crazy to program a facility like that into the management system of the car and then tell you it will knacker you if you use it.

Keep finding the smallest of excuses to get into it and drive it

Very nice indeed - have you got the darkened rear windows?
I think that what the dealer said about launch control and the warranty is rubbish - wouldn't have thought they could tell. I've done it more than twice on my GTI so hope not anyhow!

Thanks Dalgleish00, and yes the side and rear window are tinted (factory option). Let's hope the dealer is wrong about the launch control invalidating the warranty as I intend to enjoy the facility seeing as VW installed the thing in the first place

very nice indeed! Looks in excellent condition, garaged no doubt. I would love a 1970s 911 but only have on street so not really viable.

I bought the RS three years ago from a chap in Norfolk who had this and a newer 993RS...
Car was first registered in 1992 and has done 60k miles since, I use it as it was intended and have an annual pilgrimmage to Spa and 'The Ring' with a group of other enthusiasts, we also get to do a few Porsche trackdays a year.
I don't use it in the winter as there is no body underseal as Porsche decided it was too heavy when they made the car and never applied any to the RS models, and as a winter project I have dropped the engine and am cleaning up the engine bay as well as a whole list of other jobs.
Hopefully it will all be done in March/April next year just in time for our trip to Spa/Ring and by then it should be pushing 300bhp and weigh about 1100kgs
Saying that, at Bruntingthorpe last year at a photoshoot it still pulled an indicated 187mph down the 2 mile runway

Awesome cars mate
Pictures don't do them justice.
