Title: help fuel gage stoped working

Just put £25.00 of diesel in and the gage is not read it. Sender problem maybe were do I start????

im more of a mk2'er but i'll try my best...

1. remove tank lifter - and manually move the arm whilst the ignition is on --- look for movement
2. ground the wire that leads to the clocks attached to the lifter (mines purple) - look for movement
3. remove dash with wires attached, and ground the pin for the fuel gauge -- look for movement

if 1. you need a new tank lifter, it works off a variable resistor, its dead, buy a new one
if 2. you need to put a new wire in place because its manged to get broken somehow
if 3. put new clocks in, the fuel gauge is broke

do it in that order and you should be sorted.
