Ive been looking for the perfect VR6 for a couple of months now and have just seen an absolute beauty of a highline advertised...only thing is its a 4 speed automatic!...
Does anyone know anything about auto VR6's? How is 0-60, top speed, fuel consumption etc. altered?
Should I keep searching for a mint manual?
???
-
0-60 = 8.2 approx
-
Is that any slower than the manual? Has anyone ever drove one, owned one?
Any auto/manual VR6 info would be apreciated...
-
it's a fair chunk slower to 60. makes the golf a bit more of a luxury cruiser rather than a 'performance car'. still quick but reckon you would be much happier with a manual :)
-
Yeah yhink I'll wait for a manual!
-
Manual 0-60 = 7.3secs
-
A second is quite a bit...I need serious speed!!! ;D
-
The Auto is actually 8.7secs.
VR6 Auto = GTI 16v (0-60mph times)
-
vw figures (take off half a second)
0-60
auto 9.0
manual 7.8
-
autos are a good 1000 quid cheaper.
-
Yeah, im definately gonna wait for a manual, my 16v is faster than the auto.
Thanks all.
