Hello Gents.........
So yes..... they broke into my MK3 the other day. Smashed my rear right small window and took NOTHING???
anyways..... can anyone please tell me how to remove the broken glass properly and fit a replacement one?? I have tried looking for a thread on here but couldnt find anything?
Here is a link to the window in question. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l118/Chris___82/12_1.jpg

Havn't done the job , but looking at ETKA it looks like you remove the door card , drop the window and then remove the guide and metal bar via two bolts, one at the top of the window the other inside the door .

if its anything like the MK2, 1st you have to remove the main glass as theres no clearance with it in. 2 bolts hold the window to the lifter, then it should pop out. You might have to remove the seals at the base of the glass tho. Then as said remove the metal post, there will be a bolt/screw at the top and one at the bottom. Pull it forward, then swap the glass!

Feel for ya bud... Had the same thing when some little c*nt put the passenger lock through on my old escort, and didn't take anything... Not even the (not cheap) pair of shades sat on the dash!. I was not amused. And that was in a public car park at 7-8pm!
No-one's touched the Golf yet though , touch wood :undecided:
