Title: power steering pumps

i have a golf gti 8v 1995 and the power steering pump is buggered i have been told the bearings are gone in it.just been on ebay to get 1 just wondering if any mk3 gti pump will do any help would be great as this is my first vw

Looking at ETKA it would seem that as long as its a MK3 1.8-2.0 8v or 16v it should fit.  There are 2 pumps listed though and it isn't clear what the differences are, but they all have the same pulley spacing.  Find one off an 8v GTI and I recon you'll be laughing :)
