Title: Hand brake
Post by: rzacasperof on 14 November 2006, 08:49
My hand brakes knackered on me cabby, the pin (best i can describe it) keeps bending out of place and the whole mechanism now needs to be replaced after being bent back in to place several times.

I found this on ebay, will it fit my cab?  I've got a J reg sportline:

I didn't think it would, but just checked ETKA and actually, yes it will!

cool thanks for that.  Think i'll give that one a miss and look in the local breakers (save on postage) now I know it'll fit.

Cheers!!

Just to clarify, only the early MK2 handbrake levers will fit, up to late 87 early 88.  Basically if it looks like the MK1 handle with just the trim clipped to the handle then its fine, if it also has a plastic surround screwed to the carpet then its the later one :)
