Title: Door seal/rubbers
Post by: Len on 13 November 2006, 13:56
Got myself a huge roll of door seal from VAG dealer, as I am going to change the drivers door seal to see if it stops my wind noise problem.

Anybody ever done this? Bodyshop peeps or whatever?????

Have looked at Haynes and Bentley and neither of those say anything!

looks like I have to remove most of the interior trim panels around the door. Just wondered if anyone had any tips etc.

always thought you had a wind problem but didnt like to say   ,

anyhow you have to remove the sill trim, front trim, and undo middle pillar trim then rip it out but make sure when u put new back that you press it into the corners well or you will get (more wind problems) and jobs done .

Cheers Carl. My wind noise problem is only above 90mph!
Or slower if the wind is strong and blowing hard!

Yea thanks, was what I was expecting. Now all I have to find is all those pesky screws it shows on the Bentley!
