just need some pros and cons for a single wiper conversion.
i have to get some welding done where the wiper motors are, and have to order a new panel. the man said u can order single wiper panels or just a standard one!
would it be wise doing this or should i stay original as possible

Ur getting a new scuttle???? Single wiper is good as long as you get a quality kit, bonrath appear to be the best. As long as you geta decent one the stroke/area covered should be roughly the same as with your standard wipers.
-
go to www.singlewiper.com. I had one on my polo and it was ?90
-
aye as long as you get a proper one that comes to rest on the passngerside of the window
straight up ones look daft and also fail MOT's

On the kits you can set the wiper to be either horizontal or vertical, personally i think vertical looks crap but its up to you.

I agree vertical looks sh!te, I have no probs with mine and it came with the car. Clears well and no probs with visibility in stormy weather, must admit it was set on highest setting the other day and was going so fast I thought it was gonna fly off lol. Was just me tho.......... :D

So what blade do you get when you replace it?
I can't see Halfords listing Golf single blade in their catalogue.
Could do with an answer cuase got to replace mine soon.

the blade size is still the same, the arm just swings thru 120 odd degrees instead of 90 it does now
